Eva Schömer links personal assistants' work experience with some of the legal requirements that apply when working in someone’s home. The purpose is to develop an understanding of what happens during these meetings, when people and law cross each other in an area of labour law which appears to be a legal no-mans-land.
The article discusses, among other things, how the interests of users and assistants can be met without the rights of the one person violating the rights of the other person.
