 , to their elderly parents.Lynette J. Chua is the Jernal Singh Khosa Profe
 ssor in Law and Vice Dean (Research) at the Faculty of Law\, National Univ
 ersity of Singapore. A law and society scholar who specialises in the stud
 y of legal mobilisation and legal consciousness\, Professor Chua is the re
 cipient of multiple awards and recognitions for her research and writing\,
  including the International Prize of the Law &amp\; Society Association. 
 She is also the Coordinator of Global Activities for the Law and Society A
 ssociation\, a former president of the Asian Law and Society Association (
 2022-23) and an editor-in-chief of the Asian Journal of Law and Society.\n
