Lenses of Understanding: Justice, Law and Socio-legal Problematics is a doctoral-level course for PhD students in law, sociology of law and other social science programs. It introduces sociology of law through discussions of justice and the relationship between law and society. Emphasis is placed on plurality, the geopolitics of knowledge, and the shift from a “uni-versal” to a “pluri-versal” understanding of law and justice.
The course consists of ten three-hour sessions, running from September 2026 to January 2027.
