"Spikning": Sophia Zisakou

A "spikning" is a Swedish academic ritual in which a doctoral student officially announces their dissertation by nailing it to a designated board at the university. The act makes the thesis publicly available for praise and scrutiny several weeks before the defence.

Sophia Zisakou will nail her thesis to a piece of wood in the corridor of the Sociology of Law Department's offices.
