Current Research
The present study employs a combination of top-down and bottom-up approaches to explore how and why immigrants in Sweden become over-indebted, and the role of socio-legal functions in predicting their risk of over-indebtedness. With these considerations in mind, the overall aim of this study is to explore the nexus between migration and legal regulations governing debt enforcement. Furthermore, the study aims to examine and understand social exclusion through systematic, theoretically informed, empirical research focused on over-indebtedness among the immigrant population in Sweden.
