The Wallenberg Foundation's research programme "AI, Autonomous Systems and Software Program – Humanities and Society" grants Sofia Ranchordas, Professor of Administrative Law at Tilburg Law School, 8,5 million SEK (€ 754 000) for a research project placed at Lund University on vulnerability in the digital society.

"This is the first time Lund University receives a visiting professorship through WASP - HS," says sociologist of law Jannice Käll, one of the initiators of the application. She will work on the five-year project together with researchers and doctoral students from the Faculties of Social Sciences, Law and Technology.

The project 'Vulnerability in the Automated State' will map groups that risk becoming particularly vulnerable in a digitalised society.

"We will interview people from relevant NGOs, authorities, various ombudsmen and others," says Jannice Käll.

The project aims to produce proposals on how to reduce vulnerability through regulation or policy proposals.
